Silence, Poem written from Leonard Rich

Silence

I hear the silence, I hear the quiet,

the mouth is moving, but no sound,

the light fades in the middle of the day, the Sun grows cold,

I'm afraid, but wait, there is a light and there is a voice,

the voice echoes, "It is not your time, wakeup, wakeup, WAKEUP!"

The room brightens, and sounds return,

my heart beats, my lungs fill with air,

and all I can say is "I am awake."
